Witherite    Mahoning #1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Illinois.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Large, 7 x 4.8 x 4.6 cm bow tie formed grouping of twinned witherite crystals.  Minor flat matrix base composed of calcite, fluorite and dolomite crystals.  No damage.  Minor with plates of barite? in some areas.  This is certainly one of those specimens that is better in-hand.  An excellent display specimen and very reasonable in price for what it is.  $275
