Tremolite (variety sepiolite or “mountain leather”)     Z.C.A. Mine, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Ex. John Davis collection.  This unusual variety of tremolite normally forms on large calcite crystal at this locality.  The piece measures 11.3 x 5.5 x several millimeters thick.  Excellent condition, fully formed and free of stains.  Uncommon material.  $50
