GD-1367   Tremolite    Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, New York. Collected by Michael Walter, May 12, 2022. This exceptional example measures 4.4 x 3.1 x 2.5 cm and is a single doubly-terminated crystal.  It has a rich green color, very high luster, outstanding translucence, and it is nicely terminated on both ends.  The piece sits well for display.  There is a thin cleave that the specimen will sit on and a brown patch from a missing, weathered away naturally, fluor-uvite.  Specimens of this quality are seldom seen for sale.  These tremolites are among the finest known in North America and certainly the finest in the U.S.  $695
