GD-1357 Tremolite  Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, New York. Collected by Michael R. Walter, May 9, 2022. This is one from the locality originally discovered, and described by C. E. Brown in his research paper titled, Mineralization, Mining, and Mineral Resources in the Beaver Creek Area of the Grenville Lowlands in St. Lawrence County, New York.  This locality was “lost” until its recent rediscovery by myself in the early spring of 2022.  This fine example measures 3.1 x 3 x 2 cm overall. All the crystals are doubly-terminated and very translucent and are of exceptional luster for the species.  The cluster has no damage. Only a couple of this quality were found.  This is one I had selected to go in my collection but I found another example I preferred.  A very nice example! $125
