Tourmaline Powers Farm, Pierrepont, New York. I collected the specimen in 2002 from the now famous streamside trench. It is composed of large tabular crystals to 3.5 cm on edge. The entire piece measures 8.2 x 6 x 5.3 cm. Some of these crystals are lightly striated, which is rare for the location, and all have been classy black luster. The backside of the piece has several missing crystals but the front side displays very well the piece sits nicely on the one region which had matrix contact. This grouping is far better than most from locality has it has been naturally weathered out of calcite, and not artificially dipped in acid to free the crystals. A classic East Coast locality. $300
