Sphalerite, Calcite, Dolomite     Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Tennessee.  This robust piece is domical, almost ball shaped, and measures 8.3 x 8 x 6 cm.  The crystals are translucent and some are bright red when backlit.  The calcites are small and mostly on the top of the specimen.  The base shows a contact area as seen and expected.  All the other views are excellent and damage-free.  The back has one crystal that has a contact near the base of piece.  This is an fine quality, aesthetic example of this popular material at a very reasonable price.  $90
