Sphalerite on Quartz     Level 3,970, New Fold, Empire State Mine, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected 2022.  This nice combination of contrasting minerals species measures 6.1 x 4.3 x 2.2 cm.  There are several groupings of translucent sphalerite crystals sitting high on transparent quartz crystals.  The edges of the sphalerite crystals have contact and minor damage but overall this specimen is an attractive, lustrous, and desirable example of this exceptional material.  $375
