Sphalerite and Calcite     Level 3,970, New Fold, Empire State Mine, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected 2022.  These sphalerite specimens are more typical of the species being very dark, almost black, in color.  This nice combination of contrasting minerals species measures 5.5 x 3.8 x 1.4 cm.  The piece is a thin plate of crystals with some crystallization on its back.  Good views all around.  No damage.  $45
