Sphalerite    3,861 Level, Lower Mahler, Empire State Mine, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected in 2023.  This piece measures 3.3 x 3.1 x 2.2 cm.  The piece is well-crystallized by complex crystals of a bright canary yellow color that exceed a cm in width.  The crystals are nicely translucent to transparent and exhibit the rarest of colors for the mine.  The crystals have some peripheral contact and damage, as seen, but the piece still displays nicely.  This is a nice example of this rare material.  $320
