Sphalerite     3,872' Level, Mud Pond Ore Body, Empire State Mine, (Previously Zinc Corp. of America Mines), Titan Mining Corporation, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  This piece is composed entirely of sphalerite and measures 1.7 x 1.5 x 1.1 cm.  The sphalerite crystal is transparent throughout and a dark amber color with major red areas.  Very gemmy for the species.  Excellent condition.  $60
