Sphalerite     Pierrepont Z.C.A. Mine, West Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York. Ex. New York State Museum. Red, translucent, large crystal with matrix and only one visible edge that has been cleaved. Very nice. 3.2 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm matrix specimen.  These are very difficult to find for sale any longer.  This mine has exhausted the ore body and has been closed for some time now.  $50
