Smithsonite with Aragonoite (variety Tarnowitzite)    Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia, South West Africa.  Ex. Thomas G. Fowler collection.   An atypical specimen with nice translucent, honey colored calcite rhombs on tan colored smithsonite stringers of micro crystals.  The aragonite, variety tarnowitzite crystals are well formed but small, to about a cm each.  There is one cleaved calcite but it blends in nicely and is not distracting.  Unusual but certainly not visually stunning.  8.5 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm.   $325
