Acanthite and Silver Huang Tong, Xiang Mine, Town of Lu Jiang, Anhui Province, China.  Silver, and silver ore mineral specimens, are never common on the mineral market. This silver sulfide, acanthite, rarely forms nice crystals so the ones that have come from the Huang Tong Xiang Mine, Town of Lu Jiang, Anhui Prov., China are certainly exceptional. They form clusters between one and 12 cm in size sometimes with small silver wires attached. This piece measures 2.4 x 2.1 x 2.5 cm. It is composed of poorly formed and well formed crystals. It has large quantities of wire silver in attractive coils on all sides of the specimen. No damage.  $160
