Rutile on Pyrophyllite Graves Mountain, Lincoln County, Georgia. Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning collection. This piece has a single, very sharp, translucent, metallic red, damage-free crystal of rutile measuring 1.1 cm. All visible faces are lustrous and spotless! The specimen is 3.9 x 3 x 1.7 cm overall. The pyrophyllite is also attractive, in nice sprays, forming the matrix of the piece. These fully formed balls of pyrophyllite indicate that this specimen was part of an pen vug. $95
