Quartz (variety Herkimer Diamond)     Crystal Grove Mine, near Lassellsville, New York.  Collected by Michael Walter, August 2012.  3.1 x 1.8 x 1.3 cm very clear single crystal with a very small matrix attachment mark and a rider crystal on that same mark’s edge (this would be the base of the piece).  Exceptionally clear with two very small inclusions, likely water.  Two very small base crystal contacts.  A really clean, very fine example.  $50
