Quartz  and Calcite     Lowville, Lewis County, New York.  Recovered summer 2011.  Another large thumbnail sized specimen measuring 4 x 3.4 x 3 cm.  Excellent form, luster, and aesthetic.  Some healed surfaces and a small area of chipping on side.  The specimen is dominated by a small plate of dolostone coated by colorful calcite and a double terminated slightly prismatic hydrocarbon included quartz.  Very high quality and desirable.   $375, on sale for $185
