Quartz     Valentine Mine, Harrisville, Lewis County, New York. Ex. Jay Walter collection. This damage-free cluster measures 7 x 4.8 x 3.4 cm. Very fine hematite inclusions and phantoms of red and silver color. I did not clean this one before photographing so it appears dusty looking (but will clean easily). The piece sits on edge for display. Pseudo-cubic form to the crystals is noticeable on each termination (only three faces showing at 90 degree angles). This is a nicely sculpted, high luster example of what is commonly called "harlequin quartz" and is an exceptional example for the locality. $350
