Quartz     Roncari Quarry, (Tilcon Quarry), East Granby, Hartford, Connecticut.  Collected by Jerry Marchand.  This piece is a singly-terminated beta-form quartz crystal that does have a base contact but shows a nearly complete crystal (it's just missing that second termination).  It measures 3 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm.  There is no damage and the luster is better that the photos make out.  $30
