Quartz Scepter    Palermo Mine, North Groton, New Hampshire.  Ex. Ernie and Vera Schlichter Collection.  This famous field collector (Ernie S.) probably collected this fine example himself.  New England specimens from this famous mine are rare, and scepters of quartz especially so.  The specimen measures 4.4 x 3.1 x 3 cm and is composed of a milky stem capped by a double terminated cap.  The cap is clear and slightly smoky.  The stem is also terminated.  Minor wax on stem from mounting.  Aesthetic and rare.  385$
