Pyrite    Pleasant Ridge, Indiana.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  This piece is much better in person showing the common pyrites from this locality in a larger, attractive specimen.  It measures 8.3 x 6. x 4.9 cm and has two ridges of well-crystallized octahedra in disc like mounds.  The piece has lots of character, no damage, and no decay (commonly seen in this material).  In fact it was sold to Steve in 1978 from Ward's minerals and proves it has withstood the test of time.  $85
