Pyrite   Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Peru.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  These pyrites are common material but not common in very fine specimens like this one.  This was purchased in 1986 and is fantastic condition.  Not a chip, rub or stain on the entire 10 x 7 x 5 cm piece.  It is domical, composed of large well-proportioned crystals, and most contact surface, including the base, are naturally healed.  These cuboctahedral crystal are aesthetic, impressive, and interesting.  Loys of variety in the surface textures  as can be seen.  Worth every penny of this price… $200
