Philogopite    Selleck Road, Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York.  This variety of mica twin is exceptionally rare and this one is a fine, large example.  It takes on the appearance of a Mercedi Benz symbol.  It measures 5 x 4 x 2.2 cm and is damage-free.  One edge shows contact from the white albite matrix.  The specimen is stabilized with the acraloid, B-72.  $320
