Phlogopite     Rose Road Wollastonite Occurrence, Pitcairn, New York.  Collected by Michael Walter, summer 2012.  This grouping is composed of three crystals embedded in the massive calcite from the vein.  They are up to 1.2 cm in diameter each with the entire specimen measuring 4.7 x 3 x 1.9 cm.  The crystal are well developed and doubly-terminated.  Because they have smoother prism faces they will appear totally gemmy when backlit.  Fluorescent.  Good luster and form typical of the smaller crystals from this unusual find.  $225
