Phlogopite Twinned Crystal.  Selleck Road, St. Lawrence County, New York.  These are extremely rare examples of triplet twins which present themselves in a "Mercedes Benz" like form.  This example measures 2.2 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm and shows all of the three flanges beautifully.  All sides are fully formed on this one and it is a floater (it was etched from surounding calcite).  There were very few recovered from this site that were this complete.  This ne also shows a good degree of translucence allwing for its true color, red, to be seen.  $295
