Marcasite molds over Baryte with Calcite    Mahoning Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Illinois. Ex. Nancy Collins Collection.  This is an unusual specimen composed of gold colored marcasite which ones coated tabular baryte crystals.  The marcasite now forms molds which were once on top of the barite terminations.  The opposite side of the piece is coated by micro calcite crystals.  The specimen is a damage-free floater which measures 4.7 x 5.3 cm and is approx. 1.7 cm thick.  60$
