Fulgurite (with embedded glass)   From lightning strike that occurred in Oswego, New York on August 25, 2008.  Collected by Jeffery Shallit of Kitchener, Ontario and nephew and sons (Joseph, Jonah and Arlo).  Reference Rocks & Minerals magazine, May June 2011 issue, vol. 86, no. 3, p. 264-70.  This damage-free ground fulgurite is different having incorporating a shard of glass into its surface.  It measuring 6.5 x 4 x 4 cm.  The glass shard measures 2.1 cm and shows a light green coloration.  This is a nice, damage-free, example with some unusual character.  $70
