Fluorite on Quartz and Garnet     Huanggang Mine, Hexigten Banner, Ulanhan League, Chifeng Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.  Water clear fluorites on clear to milky quartz and, below that, a base of garnet.  The specimen measures 9.6 x 7.9 x 5 cm overall with fluorites to 4.6 cm across.  The fluorites dominated by the octahedral form with cubes and dodecahedral modifications.  All surfaces are lustrous and clear showing the matrix below and any inclusions.  The inclusions include enhydros and enhydros with bubbles.  Edge contacts but well-formed complete crystals on the edges, as well.  No damage.  Another fine example of what has become important contemporary material from Mongolia.  This example is exceptional.  $400
