Fluorite      Rosiclare Level, Denton Mine, Ozark-Mahoning Company, Harris District, Illinois.  Ex. Harold L. Dibble collection.  This looks like a roughly treated specimen but it is actually in excellent condition.  Only a small chip to one crystal on back.  The appearance is due to many of the cubes being modified by octahedral faces that are frosted and sometimes stepped.  There are also some contacts from other crystals along the edges of the piece.  The crystals are actually very clear as can be seen in the unmodified crystals.  The luster is good (typical).  9.5 x 7 x 6.2 cm.  A couple small, loose but stable crystals.  A very fine desirable specimen for numerous reasons although the photos have a hard time reflecting this.   $350
