Diopside in Calcite    Wilson Road, Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected by Michael Walter, July 15, 2022.  This outstanding example is composed of several nicely formed, blocky diopside crystals well-exposed in a mass of calcite.  One crystal is reattached on back of specimen and one front crystal has an invisible, minor repair.  The piece measures 5.2 x 5 x 4 cm.  The crystals are lustrous and very nice for the location.  Almost all specimens from this spot are limited to small single crystals.  $200
