Descloizite and Smithsonite    Berg Aukas, Grootfontein, Nambibia, Africa.  Ex. Thomas G. Fowler collection.  A substantial, high luster specimen measuring 6.4 x 3.7 x 3.5 cm overall with crystals to over 3.5 cm each.  Only a couple of small blades broken on what I would consider the back of the specimen.  The piece is a floater and views well all around.  The smithsonites are tiny tan colored rhombs, mostly along the base of each blade of descloizite.  The crystal in this cluster radiate in a slightly divergent manner and make for one fantastic example of this species.  Impressive for the species but throw in the smithsonite and you have something special.  Sits nicely, great display piece.  $975
