Datolite      Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection, #00010.  Collected by Dottie Hermon, 1962.  The 10th specimen in an approximately 50,000 specimen collection.  This is a fine datolite from a classic Northeastern locality.  Selective face appearances...1. transparent, 2. slightly frosted, translucent, 3. frosted white, mildly translucent.  Internally the crystal is light green and transparent.  Base has contact and retains some small transparent calcites (not well seen in the images.  This doubly-terminated single crystal measures 3.2 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm.  No damage.  $175
