Danburite    Charcas, San Luis, Potasi, Mexico.  Ex. John Geiges collection.  This attractive cluster of danburite crystals is an oddity as they are almost always seen as single crystals no matter what their size.  This grouping is 8.5 x 4.8 x 4.5 cm and composed of 10 crystals to 5 cm each that girdle a large point. The smallest crystals are transparent and colorless however most are translucent with a very slight pink tint.  The little green crystals appear to be epidote.  All views are nice except one side where the base contact can be seen.  There is no damage to the cluster and it is temporarily mounted on an acrylic base.  Great luster that is better in person.  $300
