Chalcopyrite on Galena     Sweetwater Mine, Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds County, Missouri.  A fine large cluster of big cuboctahedral crystals to 2.8 cm each with minor chalcopyrite overgrowths.  The closeup image shows how this chalcopyrite is growing in epitaxiy on the galens.  There is minor dolomite (dolostone) matrix but the specimen is a floater with no contact areas, even on the dolostone.  Beautiful patina.  A fine American classic with no damage and excellent views from all sides.  $120
