Cerussite, Smithsonite, Mimetite Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia, South West Africa. Ex. Thomas G. Fowler collection. This is likely the finest miniature sized cerussite in the collection or at least the finest miniature sized matrix specimen. They are exceptional being water clear and standing up high on the contrasting colored matrix. The upper surface is crystallized with minor examples of the accessory minerals mentioned. The piece measures 5.3 x 3.6 x 3.3 cm with the large twinned cerussite being 2.5 cm across and the single crystal standing upright measuring 1.7 cm. This upright crystal has a tiny backside rub that can be seen with magnification otherwise this is a damage free piece. The damage is so trivial as to not merit discussion but I always feel it important to point out even these tiniest of imperfections. Expensive but it is exceptionally high in quality for a cerussite from Tsumeb. $2,900
