Cobalto Calcite     Agoudal Mine, Bou Azzer, Morocco.  These bright pink to purple calcites were one of the few things that we could say was relatively new at this year’s Tucson show (2004).  They have been available in the past but never in quantities that the general collector would find “comfortable” for price or would lend themselves to the wholesale market.  This one is an impressive example measuring 6.1 x 4.8 x 1.5 cm.  Even medium pink (a very true pink color) with well formed crystals.  Nice luster, displays great, and is damage free.  $225
