Calcite on Quartz     Dal’negorsk, Russia. Beautiful and complex calcites to 6 cm on clear beta type quartz crystals. The calcites are exceptionally clear, stepped in growth and far more complex than I am capable of describing. Some are singly and others doubly-terminated. The calcites rise off a base coated by small (all less than a cm each) beta quartz crystals. One minor rub which is unlikely to be noticed. 12 x 7.5 x 6.5 cm. Most Russian calcites are not anything special.  This one is an exception.  A fine, showy specimen. $180
