Marcasite included Calcite and Pyrite on Dolomite.  St. Johnsville Quarry, St. Johnsville, New York.  Ex. Charles Daniels collection, circ. 1970s.  This exceptional matrix piece measures 7.2 x 5 x 3.6 cm.  I think it is among the finest pieces of this size from the quarry.  The tabular calcite has robust needles of marcasite.  This piece was photographed for the book, The Collector's Guide to Herkimer Diamonds, Schiffer Publishing, Figure 210, page 85.  No damage.  The base is composed of pyrite plates in parallel growth coated by dolomite (I forgot to photo the base).  The piece is a complete floater.  Exceptional in all regards.  $575
