Calcite and Pyrite    Steele Mine, Black Rapids, Lyndhurst, Ontario, Canada.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Noted for its quartz specimens, this locality seldom produces noteworthy specimens of calcite.  This one is one of the nicest I have seen.  5.9 x 4.6 x 4 cm overall.  Clear to translucent…. The specimens from here are almost always translucent to opaque and low in luster.  This one has a high luster, nice internal phantoms from clay inclusions and is a floater.  There are a couple very tiny rubs but they are not distracting and the condition is exceptional for Lyndhurst material.  50$
