Marcasite inclusions in Calcite.  St. Johnsville Quarry, St. Johnsville, New York.  This attractive calcite shows clearly how some of thes specimens are included by needle like marcasite crystals.  This one shows them in a selective face pattern.  The piece is actually several intergrown crystals of a pleasing honey color.  They are lustrous and transparent/ translucent.  It measures 6 x 5.4 x 4.1 cm and sits, as seen, on a cleaved base.  Backside has a naturl, flat contact.  N nice piece for the calcite specialist.  $60
