Bournonite and Chalcopyrite    Yaogangxian Mine, Biai Shi Du, Chen Xhou, Yizhang County, Hunan Prov., China.  This floater has no damage and is certainly exceptional for this fact….but there is so much more to offer her.  The piece is composed of double terminated crystals to 2 cm each which are high in luster and nicely striated.  3 x 2 x 1.5 cm overall.  The terminations are clean and the other unusual thing about this piece is the sulfide accessory.  This is a 1 cm crystal of darker color and metallic luster which appears to be chalcopyrite.  I won’t swear to this however since about every sulfide known to man seems to come from this prolific mine.  In any case, it is an aesthetic piece of note at a very reasonable price for what it is…295$
