Calcite and Quartz    Jalgaon, Maharasha, India.  This outstanding calcite measures 9.2 x 9 x 6.3 cm.  The twinned crystals range from almost colorless to a light brown.  There luster is excellent and the intermixing of the white quartz gives the piece nice contrast.  There are a couple light dings and a pair of small pressure contact marks on the largest ccalcite’s face.  One spot on the quartz shows a chipped area. These flaws can be oiled but not by me.  The damage reduces the price but it is still a top notch specimen.  There is a base contact on which the specimen sits nicely for display.  Views well from all sides.  $400
