Exogenic Fulgurite   From lightning strike that occurred in Oswego, New York on August 25, 2008.  Collected by Jeffery Shallit of Kitchener, Ontario and nephew and sons (Joseph, Jonah and Arlo).  Reference Rocks & Minerals magazine, May June 2011 issue, vol. 86, no. 3, p. 264-70.  This large tadpole shaped piece is composed of a large flagellated droplet with two attached spines.  There is also a relatively large attached sphere.  It measures 4.5 x 2 x 1.4 cm.  The entire specimen has a glassy, high luster, finish which indicates that it was fully solidified prior to reaching the ground.  This is another aesthetic and interesting piece.  $250
